Stator takes crap!!
Just got my bike in the shop on thursday. Diagnosed with a grounded stator. Tore open the primary yesterday and the rotor?( im no mechanic lol) the piece with the magnets fixed to it were broke off and shredded. About 4 of them. The dealer i bought from back in june agreed to eat the stator and other part even though im 76 miles over my 1000 mile warranty. My question for the wise folks here is my mechanic also wants to replace the voltage regulator as well. The stator is a 45 amp but the voltage regulator is listed as 40 amp?! The stator and other part are oem so im sure there is no issue, just curious about the 5 amp difference between the regulator and stator.
