My best friend and myself Just got back from our ride to Sturgis and back..........
Had a great time didn't put on as many miles as we wanted to but it was an absolute blast. Talking about the ride and trip ....... you can party anyplace.
If you haven't ever done a long ride and like to camp you should do something similar. Met a lot of interesting people who like to ride in the tent area. From stock bikes to home built customs guys from canada rode down.
Heres a few pics and one of the patches we had made .....

Thanks for sharing. Nice bikes!
How does the Crossbones handles for long rides like you did?
It handled great.
The only problem i had was staying close to posted speed limits
I'm sure everything can be rode faster than we did it but we had no trouble keeping up / catching virtually everyone in the twistier parts.
The only people that left us were some guys on crotch rockets who were runing so fast i'd have hated to pay the fine if caught.
I'm old now(43) so try and stop every 1.5hrs or so for gas instead of riding full tanks out every time. I've found that if i do this i can ride every day all day and never get tired of riding.
dang thats cool i bet the ride was bad AZZ. 3600+ round trip is awesome how many days did it take you to get there?
We took our time going did some sight seeing a the capulin volcano etc..... 3.5 days 1300 miles on the way back we took the short cut 2 days 1100 miles ........... the rest we did around sturgis

i know who Ned Kelly is , but what's with the patch ?
My passenger a lovely lady from Australia gave me that lot of meaning behind it along with this one ....... i've never been big on patches only 4 on my jacket.
On a side note here are a few pics of her jacket i'll get the ones of her helmet uploaded later not sure what got on her but it "ate" completely through her daytona helmet and fox creek jacket in one spot melted the zipper and buttons....
She's really glad she listened to me about wearing a full jacket n helmet.

ahh that explains it perfectly . nice looking lady , rides her own bike and gives you cool stuff . sounds like a keeper
Thanks for the pics brings back good memory's from last week ! My guess on the jacket damage is exhaust or cyl head maybe even oil tank. Did she throw the jacket over the seat right after a stop somewhere?

Nope some kind of chemical did this......
Look at the helmet it ate through it to.
I think shes "lucky" we stoped when we did and she went to the bathroom just to wash her face etc....
