i have an 04 fatboy and am looking at seat options, im leaning towards the sundowner as i have demo'ed it at the dealer and i love the way it sits, ive been looking at ebay and other places trying to avoid the high price of buying direct from harley and i understand the 07 and up fatboys got a larger rear tire but what is different about the way the seat mounts, it still hooks in near the tank and has the "flange" off the back of the seat, is it just the length of the flange? on harleys website they use the same stock photo for the 00-06 fatboy sundowner and the 07-up sundowner so i cant believe there would be much of a difference, would i be able to just switch the back flange and make an 07-up seat work or am i missing something bigger here.

Just put on my Mustang Vintage solo with pillion on my 08 heritage and I have to say my *** is in heaven!!!
My saddlemen was a big disappointment for my frame . The mustang is like night vs day . Very soft , back off the tank , higher up ,cooler on the legs , looks better ,handles better with the better posture and even makes the bike sound better!!!
SOOO happy tonight!!!
Glenn
picked up a sundowner deep bucket in brand new condition for 125, very pleased with it, great lower back support and I love how it sits me low in the bike.
