Default Easy Bracket work with HD Docking Hardware

I'm interested in having the option of hanging a side bag on my Deluxe at times and already have Harley docking hardware on it that I only use with a detachable backrest. I wonding if anyone knows if the easy bracket would attach to my existing docking points, or if easy brackets docking is differant? I realize i couldnt have both a bag and backrest on that way.

Not sure if U mean a single bag or bags (plural) one on each side or a swing-arm bag (one side only) which a lot of Lux owners use?

I don't think the detach mount can be used for the bags, I've never seen one that could be, but someone may make one.
Might just give U dealer a call and see what they say.

My friend has an older wide glide, he had lots of trouble with installing. He has metal lathe & had to make some custom fittings to make it work.

Easy Brackets does indeed make a kit that works with the stock Harley detachable backrest. You use the factory docking hardware but the kit includes the necessary longer bolts that go through the docking hardware and mount to the Easy Brackets. We carry them on our website to fit most Softails. In fact, I'm getting ready to install a kit on my own bike.

Here's a link:

We also make our own hard mount kits for swingarm bags if you wanted to go that route:

Hope this helps.

I used Easy Brackets with my Boss Bags. The backrest and the bags come off when you want in seconds.

I don't think the Easy Brackets will work with the stock quick detach hardware because the front mount is skinny and the rear mount is wide. But not a problem, you just need longer bolts and you mount the Easy Bracket mounts outside the stock mounts. The only disadvantage to this is the bags hang out about an inch further.

Quick disconnect sissy bar on the inside, Easy Bracket saddlebags on the outside.

(Off topic - these bags - "Edge" saddlebags with brackets are for sale, PM me if interested)

Don't have a backrest, but I do use a H-D quick detach luggage rack on the Sportster from time to time. Hoping to be able to use these brackets on some oem type hardbags soon along with the rack. If I understand correctly I need bracket SPT-R2SDB.
