Easy enough to install brackets using directions. Really had to push the windshield on. Paperwork says easy off by just lifting,,,, had to loosen screws. I thought this release was supposed to be tooless. This is an HD windshield on an 07 Deluxe. Called a friend of mine who had one, seems to recall it not really being as easy as the directions refer to it as.
Not going to take it on and off alot, every creak and crack as installing it was nerve wracking. How easy is this thing truly?
the way u describe it well thats what i was expecting. I put those screws and grommets in tightening only the bottom as instructed at first, then tightened top with windshield in grommets, had to loosen one on bottom to align. Put lock pin in place, under mushroom cap screw head.
went to undo, no slide and glide for me.
maybe just need to try again... what seem so simple......
Mine was tough at first but, I just squirted a little silicone spray on the grommets. Comes on and off great. A little squirt inside the grommet grove and you should be all set.

Mine likes to chew up the rubber grommets. Tried to lube them once but then windshield would come loose with just a bump from behind the top and I was worried with it coming loose from negative air pressure like behind a truck. Wish I would have went with a National Cycle windshield.
Memphis shades just installed -- easy on and off -- bottom of shield needs to be spread just a tad (maybe an 1/8") before putting on, and a little extra care taking it off to not scratch the paint.
