Sorry, one more thing. The slip ons add a nice sound to the bike, but installing a high flow air cleaner and fuel management system like the power commander definitely helped with engine running temps and gave her a little better throttle response. It's a few extra bucks but I'm sure you'll find it was money well spent.
They are a pia to install because the stock slip ons have threads in them so you simply put your hand behind the exhaust bracket and use a small ratchet, but the Vance and Hines require a nut and bolt installation and the only way I got that done was by grinding down a 7/16 open end wrench to fit in to the mount.
2) I had a ton of decel popping so I ended up getting a power commander and its mostly gone. I'm now getting ready to take off the slip ons and sell them and getting a full exhaust.
