Quite common from what I read on here. Take it back to the dealer and be careful!

Yeah, I have. I got rid of the spokes. Switched to Thunderstar wheels, which I like better anyway. I can also now run tubeless tires.

I had the loose spokes issue...the dealer replaced the rear wheel under warranty. I haven't had a problem with loose spokes since.

Yes, seems like the newer bikes have an issue more than the older bikes. Members in here started reporting the issue more often back in 11 on brand new bikes.

The dealer should check them in the Prep/Set-up, but with as many reports there has been on loose spokes lately, I doubt that very many are actually doing it.

I read in here that when the MoCo wheel suppliers changed around 10 or 11 is when the problem on new bikes started showing up.

We as owners to be wise should check the spokes at least every Yr and have the rims checked every tire change for loose spokes and trueness to keep them in top shape.

It would be best for Anyone who buys a new bike to make sure the dealer has checked the Oil levels, tire pressure, and spokes (if they have them) on any new bike before they ride it home.
For me, I'd have them do it while I watched them to be sure its done.

I checked mine at 11k right after the 10K service, that check is part of the 10k service, but I had 7 spokes that was a little loose, NOT to loose, Still, it's part of the 10k service so I know the spokes check was not done at all.

Thinking They also need adjusted more when new, on mine, after the 11K adjustment they have stayed pretty good for the last 33k miles. Only needing a tweak now and then.

What are the symptoms of loose spokes besides reaching back there and checking them by hand?

Here is basically the same as I do when I check and adjust if needed, my wheels and spokes every spring.

I went through the factory in York, PA five or six years ago and they were lacing their own wheels 'in house' then. Must have farmed them out to someone else after that and that's when the problems started showing up. Probably China. My '09' has been fine.
