Guess I never paid much attention, as my FatBoy already had a 4.5" pullback handlebar riser installed when I got the bike.
I believe the previous owner said it was theriser from the softail deluxe, but I don't know....
Anyway, with the 4.5" pullback the stock bars fit and feel perfect. I'm 6'2", andI can lean back slightly with the grips in a natural, comfortable position. Makes for a great riding position.
I put a few miles on a friends 2004 FatBoy (with the stock bar and risers), and what a difference. I had to lean forward slightlywhen riding, and it wasn't very comfortable after a few miles...
It's amazing that somethingas simple as aextended pullback riser can make such adifference in riding comfort...
And those are stock bars also aren't they? So it's a 2 minute bolt on and done? I've been thinking of doing this.We have the same Fatboy, nice bike. Mark
I switched from the stock risers to the HD slotted pullbacks. Big difference in comfort level on longer trips. Had to fiddle with the wiring fasteners on the left side of tank to get a little slack and reshape the brake line a bit but no big deal. Definitely worth the 15 minutes that it took.
