Default 2013 Breakout

Guys,
Looking for advice on making my Breakout more comfortable for longer rides.
Having a really hard time finding options.
Looking for:
Forward Controls....have 36" inseams and I'm cramped
Lower seat....sitting up way too high
Handle bar options....looking at the LAChoppers Zbar or Roland Sands Moto bar
For loud and horsepower the guys are telling me 2into1 exhause. Feel in love with the 2into2 black VH Radius though....anyone have power or sound concerns with these?

Thanks for any help....look forward to chatting

I'd think a Breakout, like my Blackline, aren't made for long...500 miles plus...rides. I've done a few and although I was comfortable during the ride, I was pretty tired when I got home.

Good Luck with your Breakout. I wish I had one.

Default Not much u can do

Us taller guys who are all stems can't do a whole lot about fitment. I used the Ness 3" forward control extensions on mine to get my feet out front, its good but could be better. I also am sticking with the stock foot pegs, they are offset downwards about an inch and to my surprise are a lot more comfortable than anything else that comes straight off of the peg mount. I also changed my handlebars to the HD Fat Mini apes but used the stock riser (its a long story, search for my posts and you'll find it). My hands are now 10" higher than stock and are just below shoulder height. as far as the seat goes, I hadn't looked for anything to get me lower so I can't speak to it. finally, at the time I bought mine, no one knew what pipes would fit so i settled with Bassani slip on's for now, but there are a lot of threads about this too.

Drag Specialties 1601-0206. I'm guessing your talking about a '14 Breakout? Not sure if this will fit your model, but go to their website and search "ness extensions" because there are other part numbers. When I googled it, Amazon came up about $40 cheaper, btw.

If you didn't spring for the '14 just yet, my '13 is for sale...it's back to stock except for the bars and foot extensions. Save a ton over new.

Is it the ARLEN NESS 3" Extension Kit for Softail™ that you can find on the Arlen Ness Web Shop as well? Reviewing the fitment info on revzilla it does not state to fit the FXSB Breakout explicitly. Did you need to do any mods to the kit to make it fit?

Nope, no mods. It bolts right up.

Much tougher to make a Harley fit us tall dudes and still keep the style of the bike IMO

I have long legs also - put Lindby Multibar on mine so I can stretch my leg out two different ways on the highway. Unfortunately leaves your foot away from the rear brake pedal.

But it has enabled me to enjoy the bike on 600 mile days in Texas weather. I love the rest of the bike more than I dislike the small things that bother me.
