Default O-ring question..........

Hello All, Got a 0-ring question. Does the primary, trannie, and oil tank all have the same size o-ring for the drain plugs? Also does anybody know the size of them. Thanks in advance

I can confirm that they use the same O-ring, but don't know the size offhand.

I bought a pack of them off eBay and compared them to the orignals and they're excact.

These O-rings are used on the drain plug of the engine, primary and transmission on V-Twin model Harley Davidson.

I just took an old one to the hardware and compared until I found a match. I believe the size was 7/16x1/2.

I just bought those last month, after starting a thread on O rings. They were the right size and material.

I copied this from a post on this forum for future reference. I believe it may have been in the touring section. I'm not sure how this translates to different years and/or models.....

Harley oil plug/tranmission plug/ primary case plug O-ring HD part #11105

The cross reference is #013, the o-ring size is 9/16 o.d. x 7/16 I.d. 1/16 cross section (thickness).

Viton is best but Buna-N will do

Yep, your right. 7/16x9/16. The hardware o-rings work just fine for drain plugs.
