Default '07 Fatboy-new proud owner

Hey all! I am now the owner of a 2007 FLSTF. I went with pearl black after a bit of deliberation. I was pretty "locked" onto the Street Bob at first, but I'm COMPLETELY stoked to have went with the Fatboy. One of my best buds/fellow soldier has a completely tricked out and stroked '95 fatty. We sit around and bs about riding together constantly... when this deployment is over.

About 3 1/2 more months I'll get to see my bike for the first time. I'm going to pick it up (hopefully) on my first day home on two-week leave. I grew up on dirtbikes and I plan on taking a rider's course when this year's deployment is over. This beast is a lot heavier than anything I've ridden before.

It's good to have somthing to post about. I've been a long time lurker. You've all provided me with a lot of insight and tips as well as direction with style and performance. I hope to have a garage full of parts waiting on me and my scoot.

thanks all,

Jeff

Be Safe...

I really wanted to get a Street Bob too until I rode a new Dyna. The Dyna's vibration is too much for me at idle and low speed. Riding in traffic, I spend too much time at idle/low speed to watch the engine bouncing around all the time. When I tried a new Softail, I knew I had to have the B motor. Nothing against the rubber mounts...If all my riding was higher speed I could ride a Dyna.

Congrats man! Don't forget about the pics once you get home safely. You are going to LOVE Black Pearl big time. What mods you got planned? Thanks for your service.

Congrats and good luck with all. Stay focused and dont become complacent over there just yet either. Its not all over yet. I was a platoon sergeant over there last year when I had one of my squad leaders buy an 06 Night Train, he paid the ultimate sacrifice 2 months after he bought it. Stay safe and God Bless ya. cant wait till ya make it home!

Congrats and welcome to the exclusive Fat Boy club...I'm glad to see that your application to this very exclusive organization was approved and not downgraded to a BAGGER status!

Keep your head down and stay focused on the task at hand! Thanks so much for what you and the other young men and women of our armed services do for this sometimes ungratful nation! You are all heroes in my book!

See you on the road!

Steve

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'm working on a intimidating H-D wishlist... Adds up quick huh?

- V&H BigShot Staggered
- Arlen Ness Big Sucker II with exposed element using a trim cover(I love this look...)
- Thunder Max with Autotune(might have to "sneak" this one by my wife.
- GOTTA get a new seat. I'm kind of lost there so far. I like the look of Lepara, Corbin, and Mustang low profile 2-ups.

I'm going Apes fellas... I have to do it. I love a fatty with apes on it. I'll probably go with some 12.5 chubby apes. Who knows, I'm 5'7".

I'm spying the H-D premium aux light kit, and chrome front end with chromed out controls.

This is keeping me busy on "down time" too. I've got everything picked out already as far as floorboards, pegs, blah, blah, blah...

I wouldn't know a fraction of what I know if it wasn't for this site. That is for sure.
