Default Clutch pull adjustment

Spent the weekend in Fayetteville at Bikes Blues and BBQ. The initial estimates was over 300,000 bikes. So lots of stop n go SLOWWWW traffic. I'm pretty new to softails, just had my 03 Heritage Springer a little over 2 weeks. But I noticed that the clutch on this bike is a lot tighter than on my sportster or other bikes I've rode. Is there any way to adjust the clutch so it easier to pull? On the highway its not a big deal but an hour in traffic that moves maybe 3 miles my clutch hand was really hurting. I was just wondering if there was an adjustment or if a tighter clutch was just a quirk of this bike?

Later model clutches were revised for a lighter clutch pull. You need the reduced effort clutch kit to update yours. P/N 36808-05 it has improved clutch release ramps and a lighter spring. Its in the catalog.

Make sure your cable is properly lubed.

Look for a Mueller Power Clutch it moves the bearings more toward the center of the shaft and reduces the power needed to pull in the clutch. It would also be good to replace the cable.
