If all goes well tomorrow, I will be a new Softail Slim owner!
I have been thinking about trading in my Sporty for a Dyna for the past year. I test drove all of the Dyna's, but none of them felt right. I've had my eye on the Slim and finally was able to test drive one today. That was all I needed to convince me that it was going to be the right one.
Tomorrow I will be going back to finalize the paper work for my new 2013 Softail Slim in Big Blue Pearl. The odometer reads 20 miles.
As far as the price goes. It was listed at MSRP plus $390 for freight and $900 for set up. I was offered $5500 for my 2009 1200C with 25,000 miles. They also took off an additional $2000 since I was getting a 2013 model. After tax and the other random fees, the out the door price was $10800.
Not the best picture, but here it is on the showroom floor.
The Slim is a killer bike, and there is a TON of neat stuff you can do with it if you want, from mild to wild. If you haven't already, check out the Slim pics thread here in this section of the forum.
