That was my point.
In fact, I do get it.
Polaris is using the name to sell a newly engineered bike because they know it wouldn't sell with the Victory name glued to the tank, just like their current bikes don't sell.
If I'm wrong and they do sell, I'll take it all back, but until then, my original statement stands.

I agree, Polaris simply bought the rights to use the Indian name and copy the design, people already had a choice of American made as the Victory is an American made motorcycle.

I always stay away from any first production year of any vehicle/motorcycle made so they can get the bugs worked out after a couple of years.

JMHO....

Just a dressed up Victory with a pseudo Indian badge on it. Sure the the new motor is cool but the rest of the bike looks like Arlen Ness ate a victory and then puked it up. Other then the fenders looking like Indian the rest is but ugly.

So..I would like to ask your thoughts about all that.
You might get better answers from a Polaris forum.

I think the Vintage looks good, and I would like to see one in person, but Polaris dealerships that carry Indians are few and far between, and not in Texas.

I agree with your points, except "The brand is seriously back..to day."

Polaris bought a name & blueprints & are making copies. For Indian to be truly back the motorcycles should be manufactured by Indian, not a subsidiary of a company that makes snowmobiles & ATVs.
The history & all the things us old timers wax nostalgic over died in 1953.

That being said I wish them luck & if I were in the market now I would consider one in spite of those horrid fenders.
