What size wheel is that? From what year?....I'm in the process of collecting things and info to put a fatboy rim on my heritage. I have a couple of time lined up but several ppl tell me its going to be a bitch. Its my daily drive so only have weekend down time. So sceptical at times.

From what I gather most mid 2000 rims should bolt up to my 07 heritage with my spacers.

Any insight you can pass along, appreciated.

I believe you will find you have to offset the rear wheel, even with the 20mm belt...to get lined up with he trans sprocket...that is what Harley did on the 06 and 07 200 tire softails.

My wheel is from a 09 Harley NTand is 17x6. I swapped out the bearings and made a sleeve for the inside of the wheel so i could use 3/4 bearings. My Factory pulley and brake rotor are the exact same bolt pattern as this wheel. My advice would be to make sure you have all the parts before you tear the bike down. Not sure if the swingarm on the heritage is diff from mine or not? What size tire did you bike come with from the factory? Im in Chicago and the weather here now is cold so I have lots of time to figure this out. Im not an expert on this just kinda working through as I go and learning at the same time.Parts I purchased so far,

09 NT rear wheel, 3/4 bearings, made my own sleeve, 20mm belt, pulley, fat boy lo rear fender w/struts, gaskets for primary disassembly so I can swap the belt.

Get me some measurements from you swingarm and I can tell you if you'll need to or not. I put a 2007 FXSTC 17x6 wheel on my Deuce. It just needed the correct size spacer on the left hand side after going with a thinner pulley and belt.

Yeah that was my plan to measure for spacer size after the belt and pulley come in from Harley.

What's the width of your swingarm?

10" wide. I tried to slide the pulley in the swingarm mounted to the wheel and the belt wasnt straight plus the pulley was up against the swingarm. I think the new pulley will fit just fine and then I can make the correct spacers after mocked up and measured. Atleast this is what my plan of attack is.

Swapped the belt over today. Recieved my new pulley and got that bolted up but still very tight fitment even with the 20mm setup. Not sure what piece of the puzzle I am missing at this point.

I have an 03 Fatboy and i have a kit just like the one you have! Going to tackle that over the winter. Got all the parts except the pulley and wheel. Had a wheel but it was solid chrome so i sold it so i could get the pulley i want. I am going to have the cut my spacers when the time comes. Going to
use my factory swingarm. The big change will be my rear brake caliper. It is a 2 piece and i have to notch out the tabs i the inside.
The person i bought the kit from has done this mod a few times and he told me you will not have to offset the trans! Can't wait to see your bike completed! Gonna look SIC!!
