That's what I found out and even the OEM pulleys are pretty expensive.

Fatbaggers makes a fat tire kit, complete with a wide fender. For the 06 Road Glide the kit includes spacers that go between the motor and primary and the tranny and the primary for the belt clearance. It also includes a swing arm for the added clearance of the wider tire. The installation proceedure requires some tabs be ground down in the wheel area so the tire doesn't rub. I'm sure they would have the hardware that you need to complete your job.

Well received my new pulley and this one is the correct width. Tried to mock this up and the wheel with the pulley installed on the rim will not fit. The factory night train wheel 17x6 will not work with this swap as the assembly is the same width as the swing arm. My swingarm is 10" wide and so is the wheel with the pulley. Unless anyone else has gotten this to work I am gonna have to use a 18x5.5 I am assuming.

When Harley first came out with the 200 tire on softails, they were constantly changing things. I know that 06 was a one year offset...and they changed it again later...not sure what year. So if you have an 06 wheel you have to have an 06 pulley...if you have an 07 wheel you have to have an 07 pulley. You can use this link to check part numbers to see what you have:http://www.shopronniesharleydavidson...partfinder.htm

If you look on ronnies parts site...00-05 uses the same swingarm...06 uses a different one...07 uses a different one...and 08 up uses a different one...might email someone selling one on ebay, and ask them how wide it is....might need an 09 swingarm? The aftermarket swingarm I used to put a 200 on mine was over 11" wide inside.

I looked last night for a swing arm but not sure if the ID for the pivot point would be a different size or mounting would be any different. Don't want to get anymore wrong parts. Maybe I could call Ronnies and get the info i need.. Thanks for you help.

In my experience dealers are no help on telling you what parts will fit non stock applications...if the book says it it fits an 09, they will tell you it will not fit an 04...even if it will. Your next hurdle will be getting the rear pulley lined up with the trans pulley...which will require offset to get the belt properly alined. A "kit" with all the proper parts and instructions, is still your best bet to get a bike that tracts straight going down the road.

looking into purchasing a 08-09 rear swing arm and not sure if the pivot shaft is the same ID as mine from a 04. I know the rear axle is 25mm and also if the shock mounting is the same. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
