Softail Slim (FLS) fender Struts

Can someone tell me if the standard FLS softail fender strut will mount up to the Slim? I am looking for a longer strut and chrome... My wife's Slim has bags mounted which requires the tail lights relocated to the rear. I want to mount them behind the bags and off the ends of the longer chrome strut.

Hopefully someone has tried this before and can tell me yes or no and what years fender struts to look for.

I'm pretty sure that the mounting holes are spaced differant and the fender is wider on other softails.
