Powercommander help!
So I've decided to try and make my own custom MAP by trial and error, basically starting with the all stock MAP which is the one that works best and modifying it to try and make it better. I get popping when not accelerating in 1st-3rd gears. So Would I need to add fuel to that RPM range or take fuel away?
It's going to be very difficult to get the bike to run right without some kind of baffle. Consider adding a baffle of some sort or changing mufflers. Without some back pressure you'll have a very difficult time getting it to run correctly thru the entire range, and you'll be losing horsepower.
Popping during normal riding usually indicates a lean condition, so you need to add fuel.

I worked on modifying the MAP yesterday and was able to get it to where it only pops in the higher RMP range in 1st and 2nd gear. I'm gonna try again next time we get some decent weather. I'm not opposed to having some sort of baffle as long I could keep the sound from the exhaust. You have any suggestions how to add baffles to a straight fishtail pipe?
Drag Specialties sells baffles that you can use. I have put them in the header side of the slip on.
This is the one I got. I ended up cutting it in half and ran a re bar through the middle to open up the flanges a little. Got my back pressure, but maintained a nice sound.
Check your diameter on your slip on
