Default winter upgrades starting

Well i have started the winter upgrades for the deuce. i received a new chromed factory wheel with all the windows (where the rough casting) is smoothed out. A factory chromed pulley and a chromed rear brake rotor today. The parts are an exchange deal the rim after exchange is 300.00 and looks flawless. So tomorrow i am loading the bike up to get a new tire put on and finally get the new motor dyno tuned.... anxious to see numbers on that, and also having lizard lites installed.

only 2 other things i may look into next year and that would be different bars with internal cables etc and MAYBE a shotgun shock, i am hoping i can find someone who has a shotgun locally that i can ride and check it out...

You know where I live Dude. It's a Deluxe so there would be a difference in how the bike rides, feels and fits but the SS would be the same. My winter mod list is going to be small this year. Cylinders and heads sent out for Diamond cut and then getting my heads and valves done and Dynoed.

Black01: the site is http://www.chromethathog.com/. i got the parts yesterday and i ordered last thursday, the parts looked flawless and have a lifetime guarantee not the standard 1 yr. Plus at 300.00 exchange i thought it was cheap considering the other platers out there are not smoothing out the rough castings. the pic is fresh out of the box. Tony next summer i do plan on hooking up with ya for a steak and i may take ya up on that. i took deuce to shop today to have all the parts installed and a new tire along with dyno tune on the fresh build i should have back next week end in time to put 'er in the heated basement and admire for the winter lol. also tony make sure you go with the SHOWCUT on the diamond cut its 100.00 more but worth it in my opinion.

Yes, show cut for sure. At this point, at any point, what's another 100 bucks now? When you did your build did you do any head work? I don't remember exactly what all you had done. Your bike will love you for the Dyno. It really lines everything out and gets you peak performance out of your build. I have seen many people do work on their bikes and skip the dyno and allot of times you then don't get the bang for your buck on your build. A motor will also run cooler when it's dialed in to peak performance. As for meeting up and that Steak? Well, I LOVE Steak! Again, the difference between your bike and mine are wide and varies but you should at least be able to feel how the shock operates. We can try to find some jacked up road surfaces and let you see the difference. Also, you might not like the apes either if you have never had them. I never had then either but personally, had I known I would have liked them this much I would have had them long ago.

Good for you, but there's still time to ride in IA & NE...fall colors are in full bloom!

Tony, i had the jugs bored .010 had the heads ported and polished SOME as i told ya before you can hurt performance and atomization by polishing too much. Also did a valve job. Went with high comp pistions and the thin head gasket, i already had the comp releases, se tuner and the SE211's along with having the crank fixed by dark horse. And the supertrapp 2:1 that i since removed and hung on the wall because i hated the sound.

As for apes, i was talking to son in law today bout getting rid of the stock bars and risers etc. I have my stock bars turned up a bit to make my arms up a bit and more comfortable and a set of mini's or apes are on the horizon.

as for riding season up here in NE Iowa, its over for me as the only nice days it seems i am driving a 53' trailer up n down the road. also ice the leaves are off the trees up here.
