I laid the bike down going about 20 mph last month. it just basically tipped over on the left side. I picked it up and rode it home, but as i was riding home, i noticed the left side of the handlebars were pushed up and skewed the handlebars from being straight.
i just got all the parts in the mail and swapped out the old risers (a chunk broke off and couldn't screw into it) as well as put some beach bars on. took her for a ride today and the handlebar still seemed to be off-center.
Could this be that that risers arent in straight or could it be a bigger issue such as my forks?
found this image off another thread, this is exactly what my bars look like, and i also just threw in polyurethane bushings, not sure if it makes a difference in alignment however
It's most likely the risers loosen them twist till straight and have buddy tighten them while you hold handlebars straight. It helps if you slowly tighten each bolt just a couple turns then switch back and forth till they are torqued properly.
