Default Slim to Breakout -------------??

Anyone make that move? Your thoughts on ride, handling and comfort ? Any regrets?

Think'n about it myself. I must say the Slim looks badaxx, and handles great!

However I do like the seating position on the Breakout as well as the seat and ppad, seem to fit the curves. And that big badaxx tire speaks for its self!

Wish I could afford both........so it's Breakout vs Slim......

I love both. I have debated the breakout quite a bit, but have a hard time with the smaller tank, integrated speedo on the bars, and the fact that regular softail accessories don't fit without mods.

Breakout all the way. Mine is for sale, so you can afford both!

Aside from the riser/speedo, what accessories are you talking about? You got your facts wrong - not true about softail accessories needing mods to fit. I had a ton of stuff that I pulled off of my 2004 Heritage and fit it onto my 2013 Breakout without a problem. Smaller tank than what, touring? It's a standard 5 gal softail tank. Better check those facts again, don't sell the BO short. Btw, not trying to pick a fight so don't take it the wrong way, just saying that aside from risers mods aren't as hard to come by as one might think.

That's a tough decision. Both bikes are bad azz in their own way. After looking them both over and seeing what one has and the other doesn't its a coin toss for me. I guess the one thing that would have me lean toward the Slim is that damn 200 rear tire on the Breakout. If you're planning to ride that Breakout quite a few miles, be prepared to replace that rear tire a lot. I've had no luck with it on my Fat Boy.

The majority of Softail accessories do fit, and the Slim and Breakout both use the exact same tank except for the 2 caps vs 1 thing.

That a really tough choice. I would give the edge to the breakout because of the possible custom applications. Both are super awesome.

The only real numbers that I got on the Breakout was from a buddy I was shooting the **** with. He said the Breakout used the Rocker tank and it was a half gallon or so smaller than the FatBoy. As far as the accessories, the exhausts don't fit, and sissybars, etc have to be modded a bit to fit the new rear of the bike.

Again, I'm no expert on the bike, obviously. I was just interested in it and a buddy was trying to talk me out of it.

I have a 2012 Slim and a bad axx bobber it is !

However, I'm thinkin very hard about the Breakout as a bad axx factor chopper ! And I love that BIG axx!!

Test rode one w/o pipes (which, I hate)......but, man that long bike handled pretty good.

Like the Hard Candy best , however I test rode an Amber Whiskey........now I'm liken both........

Like the Breakout a little better. I wish the Breakout had a 200 on the back instead of the 240, but I still like it.
