Default Break Out Back rest

Didn't care for the detachable stuff, this is for a deuce, easy fit.

You know, I questioned the Deuce sissy bar awhile back but wasn't sure about fit and was concerned that the chrome bar would be scratching the fender paint being that it would sit directly on it, so I didn't have the ***** to spring for it. Glad you did, thx for the pics. Could you possibly get a direct side shot of it from the same distance as your other pics? I'm curious to see if it really affords more room than the detach. Also, did you put anything down between the paint and the bar? Thx in advance.

There already was a clear plastic type of coating under passenger pavilion, Only issue is drilling the 3 holes for mounting. The kit comes with a 2 piece reinforcement mount that installs under and on top of fender, then you bolt backrest to mount, I didn't use the top piece because the backrest is sturdy enough and if you install the top piece it is 1/4 thick and left a gap between pad and fender. This way looks clean and there is just enough room under pavilion for bolts, I used button head 3/8-16

Nice! I always wonder about a Breakout and a sissy bar/backrest set up. I know I hated my wife sitting behind me without something for her to be up against, so she wouldn't slide off.

So did you have to bolt this (drill) into the fender then? I love the look, but I also like to ride with just a solo seat , and it seems this would kill that option.
