Exclamation Today my new Butt Bucket

seat for my 05 Deluxe came from Ebay. I saw it a couple weeks ago here on the Forum. Not a lot of money for a solo seat delivered for $105.00 . I have a question that maybe someone can help with. The two bolts at the rear of the OEM Deluxe seat, if i push them on through the fender, will they drop on down or do they stay with the bracket that seems to be under there. Can't see under there, so for now i have put the bolts back on and the new seat is somewhat covering them but not letting the seat rest on the fender.

Any help as to how those bolts are affixed will be appreciated.

Thanks

I don't know about your bolts on your OEM seat, but I have that same seat on my Heritage. (Butt Bucket)

Not a bad seat, feels just like sitting on a LePera.

I got mine a bit cheaper than yours. I've had mine on the bike about a year with no issues.

They are both attached to the thin aluminum bracket. Just push them through and fish the bracket out from under the fender.

Yep, that is the same seat. I just went ahead and did a "buy it now" for $105.00. I was down in your area in Oct. i have buddy that has a place in Flagler Beach and he and i rode down to Key West during Biketoberfest . We rode up to Palm Coast several times for lunch and dinner.

Its not too bad. I took a piece of yarn and fed it down through from the top.....taped it to the threads on one of the bolts and gently pulled the whole assembly back up through.

It's been a while I know since you posted to this thread but I was in the market for a new solo seat and was wondering how yours was holding up if you still have it. I have an 96 FXSTC

its very easy to remove, simply pull the plastic plug out hold the black plastic plate that your electronics are on under the seat an push it out of the way, then reach your hand in that big hole an remove the little bracket, put the plate back on an push the little plug that holds it on back in an your done. might want to put some plumbers tape or something over those holes so rain water isn't thrown up through them.

Ok seems pretty easy. How's the comfort level of the seat.
