Default Softail deluxe additions

Got my ride in July and it was bare bones. Finally got my hands on a windshield and quick detach sissy bar for a reasonable price. Next up I want to add some universal saddlebag mounts for a pair of Willie and max throwovers. Baby steps I know but it's a start.

Here's a question: what can I do to straighten out my exhaust? Sounds great but the angle is a nuisance. I have the passenger footboard.

What do you mean by the "angle?" You have staggered pipes and mufflers. If you want "shotgun" mufflers, you will need to go with the type the Heritage Classic has. I have a Classic, but decided to go the other way and I got the staggered mufflers from a Deluxe.

I don't want to bust your bubble but changing pipes is about your best option as I don't know of a way to "straighten" pipes out and especially without damaging them. Before I put these Samson Tru-duals on I ran a Python 2 into 1 pipe and it ran under my "floor boards". I am biased, obviously, and I think there are a few pipes out there that would better suit you, your passenger and your bike. I'm not being critical of your bike, I'm just throwing that out there as food for thought.

They're python 3s and the rear is only held up with one bolt. It came that way from the dealer. In the future I'd like the Samson true duals but I was just wondering if anyone had this problem too. Thanks for the ideas.

I must say, you have excellent taste in scooters. Got mine in June, haven't done much yet.

Wise words. I've taken a LONG damn time for each mod I do. By doing this, I have never regretted any thing I've done, because I've already lived with it (in my mind) for many months.

(I'm going on a couple years now, trying to decide on 18, or 21" front wheel when I go fat spokes - 21" and I'll need to lower the front end)
