How does brass or copper handle the weather vs chrome?
Raw brass or copper will oxidize in no time (brass turns black and copper turns green). It needs to have a baked on lacquer finish to last, and then it should be fine unless it's out in the weather all the time.
I'm in the trophy business. My engraving brass will last about five years out in the weather before wind erosion takes its toll.

Thanks Larry that's really helpful. I'll make sure to ask the sellers about that before I buy. Yea I was kinda worried about that.

He's absolutely right. Raw brass or copper can oxidize, but we thought the vintage copper look was so cool that we came out with a bunch of copper powder coated parts so that you can get the vintage old school look, but with the durability of powder coat. Now, it doesn't look exactly like shiny copper, but it looks very cool with an antiqued-vintage looking dark copper with black veining. It is super durable and has a nice grippy feel to it so it works great on levers and grips as well as risers and covers.
If anyone is interested, here are just a few of the items we offer:

Deadcreek, you ROCK!! Looks really nice thank you for jumping in on this thread!!
Does your parts fit a 2013 Softail Slim? I don't see a lot of fitment for FLS. It is just a fatboy frame tho..
I'll check out your site, see if I can find a christmas gift for myself
Thanks for the "HD Forum" discount!
Thanks Slim!
Yes, most of our copper parts aren't model specific and will fit your bike. The risers, grips, and pegs will work. The 5 hole timer cover will also fit all twin cams. We can also custom powder coat many of our parts (like the gas tank lift brackets) if you wanted to add some extra touches of copper. If you are looking for something specific or have any questions, feel free to ask.
