Default Strange plug

There is a connector/wire loom that is attached to the right side frame rail adjacent to the oil drain plug. There is nothing connected to it and has a weather plug covering it. What is this plug used for?

That's awful low to have the battery tender pigtail exit, but, it remains a possibility. Most pigtails for the battery tender will exit somewhere between the seat and exhaust.

Yardstick, without a picture it is anyone's guess.

I have one on my Slim as well.
Here it is zip-tied to the frame next to the Shotgun compressor.|

I haven't a clue what's it's for, unless it has something to do with California and European models emissions - don't those models have charcoal canisters in that general location?

If its the one I think you mean......its for the active exhaust module.

European models and ones sent to Australia have them.

"The active exhaust system utilizes an actuator valve located in the rear exhaust pipe which is connected to a servo motor via a cable. The valve position automatically adjusts to enhance engine performance."

Basically it opens and closes a 'flapper' valve in the exhaust to reduce emissions.

Its part of the emission control.

Plugs into # 5 in the pic.

At first I also thought Battery tender plug, but after the picture I don't think so.

Here is what MY tender plugs look like.
