I know I am probably wrong, but every time I hear about a "custom paint job" I can't help but think.......why? Was it dropped or dinged or something.

First one I have seen in white also. I think it's nice for sure.

The PM Contour series wheels are the most expensive wheels on the market. They are also the nicest in my opinion as the thicker black that the wheel is cut from allows for much more detail to be machined into the rim itself. Figure on average they are $200 more per rim than most anything else out there. However once you see them in person you will know where that extra money went.

Figure any wheel always looks better in person than it does in a pic. These wheels are sure to set your bike apart from the crowd.

I would go with more black on the fenders, leave the tank the way it is.....it looks good, you have a good canvas to work with.

That's not a bad idea and I was thinking of something like that. Sort of a fade from black to white or something.

Yeah, they are awesome, but also damned expensive. Not for the faint of heart.

That said, I don't always like the way they look on a bike with a really FAT rear tire and wheel like the Breakout. On the bike below I don't love the way the rear wheel came out. It sort of just looks a little "off" or something, which is partially due to the way the black creates a zebra effect on this particular style. However the rest of the bike looks great! I wonder whether the Performance Machines "Gasser" style would have looked better.

BTW, anyone have any idea what fairing that is? It's hard to tell from this pic, but it also looks like he has a Kuryakyn "Sound of Chrome" audio system installed. Anybody tried that?

I had been considering something really wild. Something similar to this:

http://www.crdesigns.com/product-det...px?itemno=2005

How is a paint job considered "custom" if they're peddling the same paint scheme to who ever, and how ever many people will pay for it?

Yeah, detail on the lip of teh rim on wider wheels always looks a little different. I like it as it breaks it up a bit as opposed to how it would look if it were all black. Everything is really elongated to fill up the wider rim.
