I like my Danny Gray seat a lot, I got it with the Gel. I think it sits you a tad closer, but I like that, I like having my apes forward and it helps to reach them. I'm 5'9" and it works great for me. I also had one on a Wideglide a couple years ago.
Just really like this picture!

Really? I didn't notice that!
The more I observe your bike the more I like it! Simply gorgeous! It's a real "chrome masterpiece". IMHO
But there's still something you can upgrade, isn't it? Just for curiosity, what are you planning next?
Looks great! So, I don't know if someone already asked this (and too lazy to read it all), but with all of this chrome upgrading and whatnot, are you anywhere close to the cost of what a CVO would have cost you?

I'm not answering for BroTim but since I'm following the same "chrome path", it's a question someone put to me too in the past. The parts in common with CVO FXSBSE are less than it appears ( in case of BroTim just Turbine wheels, sprocket and rotors, chrome fork sliders, switch housing and master cylinder and something else) and the result will be different. Personally I prefer the standard BO dragbars or an ape like BroTim rather than CVO handlebars, Cvo headlight section is "aesthetically heavier" due to the backplate (difficult to mod due to wires behind), BO front voltage regulator position is cleaner than the side one on CVO, CVO doesn't have chrome swingarm, CVO doesn't have chrome inner primary cover, left side cylinder base cover and tappet cover, etc. So, even if the final amount could be close to the CVO retail price, to obtain a similar result you should spend some money on the CVO too. Obviously the CVO has the 110' engine that is awesome (cruise control, paint sheme is a matter of personal taste) but that's all. Just my .02
Well Put! He answered much better than I could have because I don't think about the details as much as trying to create something unique. I'm doing some of the small bolts in chrome next.
