Default Bars

Bent my bars and need some new ones. Any good installs that have better positioning? Don't want apes but have looked at trask bars and like them. What size are the bars i need?

Did you powder coated the Short Shots gloss black ? .... I did the Big Radius on my FXSB and it was holding up until a few days ago while I was in a trafficjam and the exhaust shields got less cooling from the wind, the coating melted approx 2inch from the front cylinder. The
rear was holding good so I need to coat it again after 2 years so to should be good but I was wondering what you did with yours.

Was unsure about the M8s but with the 'Twinkies' the ergonomics of the seat base is totally different to OEM. The seat is much longer and the front much narrower. Simplest solution is just buy the base and have one built to suit.

Just had a look on the Thunderbike site: It is possible however, on the M8 fenders it clearly states "For all fenders a new seat is needed or a big modification of the original must be done."

Rear Fender Steel 260 mm for Fat Boy, Breakout & FXDR 18-later at Thunderbike Shop

If memory serves me correctly MoneyFor kindly sent me detailed pictures of his seat and I used that as a theme for my own seat build?

and for the record the finish gets “foggy” patches when the bikes hot . But goes back to good when it cools down
