Default Automatic compression release

Other than a compression test or removing them, how would I know if the acr are working? Will I get a check engine light if they are not working?

Thanks
Flipper

Trust me, with an open hole in your heads, you'll know. Also, you must have motor work done to have them and if they are not working when starting the bike it will grunt pretty good for you, especially when doing cold start ups.

He has a 2013 fat boy. When I had my motor work done to my 2013 fat boy I found out that 2011+ I believe come stock with ACRs.

OK but regardless it won't run if they are stuck open and it will grunt pretty good on cold starts if they won't open.

I would rather have manual c.r. I have factory a.c.r. on my 110 and have had a couple of issues with them not working. They have since been "fixed" but still not convinced they won't crap out again. I would sacrifice burnt fingertips any day. At least you know they are working.

As you are riding a '13 I would make any issue i might be having with the ACRs the dealers problem under warranty.

I would say that since it is stock and electrical it would give you a code. That is purely a guess. Side note, I have manual on my heads. I have seen guys have issues with the ACR's, I never have. Just my .02 on the issue.
