Default Carlini Flying Ape Pullback

The Carlini site shows a 12" pullback for their Flying Apes, but I'm just not seeing it. Every image I see looks like the hand grips are pointing out straight sideways (which is how my original handlebars were that hurt my wrists after about 30 mins...

Thoughts? Anecdotes? Snide remarks?

Hey that used to be my bike until I sold it. Not much pull back on them. They run kind of tall. I liked the wrist position but not as much pullback as a set of wild 1"'s had. The wild 1"'s I had before these my hands set a little lower also. But in all honesty the 1.5" Carlini's blew away all the other bars out there.

The Carlini Flying Apes (1.25") run 1.5" above the stated height. I have the 16" and they run nearly 17.5". They are quality bars and I don't see the pullback as an issue. Honestly, it's all based on how far you roll the bars forward. SJ Ron

LOL. I should find some more recent photos. That must have been around 2010 or so.

Haha... that's pretty cool Hogpro. Agree both versions look great!

I run the Flying Apes on current set up. I will say that the pull back can vary on preference but, you can get a little decent pull back on them and not have to pull them too far toward you. I was able to manage and run a pair of 18's by pulling them back a little and it still looked good.

The angle on grips is straight out, but it just orients your hands differently. I do get numb quicker on these than I did on my other 1.5 Apes that were Drag Specialty. I think its due to the springer model though. I did put in the vibranator in bars to reduce numbness.

Also the 1.5 do run a little taller as stated. I run 14s on current set up.

I'm debating on a set of gangsters now. Really like the look but I just don't know if I'd like them being 38" wide.
