Good day guys. Read many things regardind BO "hand grenade" coil. Some may like it, some may not. I do like it but in my chrome based "project" I'd like to do something with it. First thought was to have it chromed. Never seen one yet. As far as you know, is it possible and easy to take it off the bike to have it chromed? If positive does anybody have a spare one taken off 'cause he already modded his bike.
Second option. If too complicated or expensive to do what above mentioned, maybe I could add some horizontal chrome strips to the coil in order to have the same aesthetic scheme of the engine black-highlighted fins. In this case which is the best way to do it? Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
The "grenade" appears to be made out of a hard resin which would prevent it from being chromed.
I was worried to hear that but suspected something similar. Thanks for the info!
At this point the choices are reduced. Chrome cover or highlighting the coil to recall the engine fins. I saw something similar in a picture of a Rocker here on HDforums. Any idea how to realize it in a clean way with a good aesthetic result?
As an alternative can you show any nice chrome coil cover you mounted on your bikes?
Thanks for your precious help and suggestions!

I want to do something with mine as well. I have black/Chrome mix and the flat black is too dull. I might at least paint it with gloss black, but chrome would be better.

If you're gonna paint it anyway you could also use some high quality spray paint with chrome effect.
