rear crash bars on a heritage need help!!
Has any body got a close up picture or will take a picture,of what bolt holes to put the rear crash bars(highway bars) into. I don't have another heritage anywhere near me other than mine so I am not sure which ones they mount to. And no diagrams came with the bars.
thanks in advance and Merry christmas !!

asa1199 provided the instruction sheet for you in case don't already have it. The upper mount should be straight forward. It is important to note on the lower mount that the saddlebag guard sits on the INSIDE of the frame.
Here are pictures of the upper and lower mount. I apologize for the poor quality of the pictures. They are older pictures.

If you dont have the right bolts with the kit you will have to figure out what length bolt you need in order for it to stick through the frame enough so that it sticks through the mounting tab of the crash bars so that you can get a nyloc nut on it. Its the bolt that holds most rear foot rests on and it has to be a grade 8 bolt. The easiest is to buy several at each length and take back what you dont use.
Fatbob usmc EOD - There are two rear crash bars for softails, the Heritage Springer Nostalgia type that I have and another set that dont come down as far. I dont think the Springer bars will clear a stacked pipe like you have but the other set might. Look at page 227 of the Harley accessories catalog.

Thanks Guys for all your help.. I worked all day ( and I mean all day) Christmas Eve getting the guards on. I had to toss my passenger hand grip as I never could get the fender brace bolts to start with them on. I ended up having to pop the electronic board just above the battery to apply pressure for the fender bolts to catch a hold so I could run them up.
Ended up loosening both top and bottom rear crash bar bolts to get my bag to fit back over the bag holders. It would have been better had some instructions come with my guards but this site helped
