What do you guys use to fasten your cables to your ape hangers? I have zip ties holding my throttle cables to the right bar. Does anyone use anything else? Do you only clamp the throttle cable?
Faction, what's up man. Have you always had apes, or is this a new addition. Either way, the pic in your sig looks good. I don't use anything. I have a chrome clip that holds my throttle and idle cable together, but nothing holding them to the bars. I have seen people use the chrome clamps like you put on the down tubes for a clutch cable, just a smaller version. I also saw a bike at a HD dealer that had chrome zip ties holding the cable to the bar.
Personally I don't use anything to fasten the cables to the bars b/c mine don't move around enough to warrant it.
ON A SIDE NOTE: I see you added the V&H BSS, they look great. I was really trying to decide between those and my porkers, but ended up going with the pigs. Anyway, I think I'm going to keep them at least through this year. I hate to change exhaust after only a year, especially since there are so many other mods I want to do. I may go to the Fat Cat next year, we'll see.
I gought mine from denniskirk .com. I tied it to only 1 cable. I think it was the idle cable. Don't tie it too tight for you don't want it to bind up on ya. Just tight enough not to slip. Them little suckers were in a 10 pack for $9.99. If you want, shoot me a pm with your address and I'll send you a couple in an envelope. Let me know Bubba
