Good morning my Friend! I have a rocker and changed both my front and rear springs to progressive and it was one of the BEST mods I have done. I did not realize how bad the stock springs were...The front spring kit made it ride like a new bike. I used SE heavy duty fork fluid and it is a hair stiff but nice. You will love this mod. On the rocker, it was easier to take the legs off and do it that way, since the setup has 2 top plugs (first one holds it to the bike and the second holds the forks contents inside). To get to the second one was easier to pull it off, but pretty easy to do. Thats the hard part, the rest is easy.
I bet your going to love this mod!!! I put progressives on the rear also and got very similar positive results while dropping the rear by 1.5 inches. Ride safe.
Food for thought, I went with the progressive gas monotubes. I love them and they really take riding to a whole new level and pared with my rear suspension upgrade, it's the best mod I have and I have many.
Thanks Rod & TBone, If it makes it easier to take the legs off I will. When I took of the top nut and saw that weired looking plug in there I thought I would have to. I have a new tyre to go on the front so I will do it at the same time. Sorry if you thought I was late replying, but there is a slight time difference in a Land Downunder.
