Yep and a open end wrench and a screw driver works wonders to unload the tensioner!

I'm doing my tensioners right now, already have adj. pushrods, not a hard job and I thought about gear drive set up. After doing the job I'm going with the stock chain set up until the motor gets tired and then change at rebuild.

Its about\ $300 cams and $400 Gear Drive = $700 and Dealer wants $300 to put in I would NOT pay anymore then that.

Good Luck

Thank for all the replies. Think I'll stick with the chain drives and check the tensioners at 20K.

This indy has a decent reputation, but seems like $1,600 is a rip off. Maybe I'll look elsewhere. He gets $300 plus fluids for 10K service, which seems steep, but will mount and balance two Metzler tires forcost of tires.
