Need some help making a decision for some new handle bars for my Night Train.
I went to a couple of shops one got their opinions. But I'm truing to decide on 12" Todd Cycles 1 1/4 strip bars with 4" Risers or 14" Wild1s outlaw Z apes with 1 1/2" riser. I'm 5'8" and if its relevant the bike has been lowered 2".
I have the 10" Todd's cycle and am happy with them. Im 5-9 and with the bars rolled forward they are just about shoulder height.
Bars are pretty personal though, so get whichever one you like the most. I would advise going with the 1.5-2" riser with whatever bar you choose. Tall risers tend to make apes look a little goofy. If you want 16" bars, get 16" bars. Don't get 12" and then make up the difference with the riser. Just my opinion though, it's your ride and you certainly have the right to set it up whatever way you want!
14" bars look nice with the wide front end. I am not a huge fan of tall risers with ape hangers but that is my opinion. Also what seat you have needs to be considered when it comes to how tall the bars should be. I have 18" bars with 1.5 risers and I am only 5"5 but I have a spring seat
Its the stock seat, if I get the 12" bars with the 4" risers and they are to tall I can get lower risers but if there are just right I regret not getting the 14" its just a guess a $1500.00 guess, but the 6" risers and and drags are very uncomfortable between the shoulder blades after about an hour an have to go. All the bike shops I've been to think I be at the 14" height.

I have the 14" Outlawz with 1.5" risers. Being 5"11 they sit at shoulder height, they were a little taller before I slammed the front down. Def stay with shorter risers, it'll look goofy with taller ones.
And holy crap man $1500! Order the stuff and do it yourself for easily half that price. Get the manual, read this forum and watch YouTube videos. I never worked on a bike before I bought this one and I did it all myself with the help mentioned.
Here's a shot so you can see the height of my bars. Don't mind the dipshit smile haha

I'm 5.11 with 14" and 2" risers on my night train, just a little above shoulder height but I've ridden 700 miles in a day with them with no discomfort at all.
I would steer clear of tall rises also. To be honest 1 1/2 - 2" risers with 12"-14" bars you're going to be happy either way, it's so close you're not going worry once they're on
