Default Style question - for Slim owners and everyone

So since I'm new and can't post pics "picture in your mind if you will" a 2012 denim black Slim. Vance and hines chrome staggered big shots, white walls, '62 panhead badging, nostalgic chrome air cleaner, and black upper and lower forks - now I've always had a thing for brass, but I don't want to go fully down that road of swapping everything over to it. What are your thoughts on a vintage, or new, brass grill for the 7" headlight as a key styling piece?

I'm obviously going for a classic old style look, and I know it's totally up to me and a whatever floats your boat kinda thing, but I'm wondering what your thoughts are.

Doing progressive suspension next, just toying with shotgun shock or not.

I definitely think it would stand out. I would start with grips, or pegs if it was my bike, but a headlight bezel is easily removable if you don't like it. Im also a big fan of the look of cast on headlight grilles.

My train of thought is that if you have only one brass piece that it would stand out and look a little out of place. I would have some small accents to go along with it as well. That way everything is balanced out.

I tend to think if you do a brass grill on teh light you might want to add brass elsewhere to match that. I'm an all or nothing kind of guy.

Shame you can't post pictures. Would love to see your bike and how the brass would fit in.

I think the key to putting a little gold tone on a black bike is keeping it to just a few modest pieces. Not brass, but I kinda like the way the emblems, spark plug wires and horn piece, even the little Buco style lock on my bag line up on my Slim. Any more gold there on the left side, and I think I'd be overdoing it.

I probably do need at least one small gold piece on my right side though. Just haven't found anything I really like yet.

Ok, I thought along the same lines of needing some accent pieces with it. I've been looking at the roland sands brass grips and shifters. I still might try it alone, but I Initially agree.

Gotta agree with this train of thought. This is gonna sound funny but look at your bike as a Super Hero costume. The best ones always use 2-3 colors really well. You cant have just a single spot on your costume a 4th color... unless that's the only thing you want everyone to look at.

I think some brass with the Denim will look Bada$$. Keep posting and then toss a pick in when you can.

PS My favorite Super Her...Er Motorcycle colors are: Blue, Black, Silver

Cheers!
