so far the new fender seems to be okay, ill have to drill a few holes to get it to line up with my strut covers and the supports from the original fender. Its a really tight fit between the struts but with a little modification i think itll work. Just waiting on the tail light to make sure its compatible with this fender.

So the tri bar led tail light came in and its broken. I have opened a dispute with the seller on ebay and they arent being very "customer supportive". Also the tail light has 2 holes which line up with a set of holes on the fender but that would put the tail light WAY inside of the rear edge. Ive looked for an installation manual al over but cant find anything online. I may just have to make some improvised mounting brackets. Only time will tell but I will keep you all abreast of the situation.

I have more of the skinny back and looking at pictures of my bike comparing the full fender I have now to the old duck fender, I am starting to think they were not as ugly as I thought they were

Alright I got the new tail light today and thanks to Piper1978 I now have the additional hardware that I need to get this project rolling. I plan on mocking everything up later this week possibly friday if the weather holds out. I need to figure out how to do a blind hole transfer without using a legit BHT punch. I dont want to be smacking on the chrome strut covers with a hammer.

Curious to know if you have plans to drop rear, 1/12 to 2"? If you do please take a minute to post some straight on side and rear views. Seems to me it would look....right.....I know it helps with stock fender gap.

Default Dropping rear

Flibuoy I have no idea how to drop the rear but i would try if it isnt too hard. I do kinda agree that dropping the rear would look better. Does it ride more rough or more smooth with it dropped a bit?

it looks good with the new fender and struts. I like the look with the duece tank and bob fender. Good job.
