Default Shinko Tires

Anyone ever use them? I read some good and bad things on here about them but thought I would ask if by chance they improved a bit....... a set for my 2000 Heritage would be around $165.00, and that's for white walls. But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for............. just curious.

I had bought a front shinko tire for my night train at the beginning of last season and I haven't any problems with it at all. I did a bunch of research before I bought it and read a lot more good about them than bad. It seems like crotch rocket guys have been using them for a long time.
Here is a little info about shinko and how they bought all of there stuff from Yokohama.

I was going to say that they began where Yokohama motorcycle tires left off.

I run the 777. In fact, I took off a perfectly good 712 off the rear to do 777s front and back on my 1200S.

Some complain about poor mileage. That means they are rather soft... just the way I want them.

I haven't had a problem with them. (777)
Matter of fact, my next set will be whitewalls.

Had a set on my old CBR and they ran great, but were a little soft. Didn't get the mileage I hoped for. That said they were about half price of other brands.

Seems like it was around 8000 miles, maybe a bit less. Decent, just not great.

I should also mention this was on a bullet bike, not a Harley. Keep that in mind as well.
