Thanks for all the words of encouragement . We are healing but very concerned we are going to take a huge financial load as State Farm insurance don't give us any reasons to feel like they are going to take care of things as I would have thought they would. Hope they do.
That is to much to ask Timetaride, that's not how the system works, sadly. I have been through the system a few times and you need a Lawyer, sadly! They are going to pay you the minimum and hope you sign the meager check they will send you. Get a Lawyer, trust me. I hate em but ya gotta have em. They drool over this type of ****.

Only a fool would not hire a lawyer if any personal injuries are involved. Lawyers are not all bad they cover your *** for ya sometimes.
Lawyers, good, bad or indifferent you have to have one. You can have these injuries heal and never bother you..............then years later they act up and change your life forever. I am NOT one of these "sue" freaks but not getting a Lawyer is really a bad thing to do, like the other person said, a bad thing when personal injuries are involved. There is NOTHING wrong with being compensated for your pain and suffering and not just your med bills and getting a bike back on the road. The same for your wife. At least talk to one first before you sign or accept ANYTHING from the insurance company.
Thanks for the advice. This is my first claim. I am 52 years old been paying insurance all my life. I was hoping State Farm would pay us enough to put my purity softail back together as good as before but after my last conversation I have my doubts. Sounds more like they are concerned for themselves more that for my wife and I or my bike. Spent a lot of time talking about why they would not pay this or that. I have a well respected personal injury attorney going to come to our home this week and discuss with us what our options might be.
Advice well taken...we will not accept anything until we talk to the man from Charlotte . I would like to think State Farm respects me as one of their clients. Been with them a very long time.
