Default Helmet Locks

Anyone have a recommendation for a good helmet lock?

I''m looking for one that would secure the helmet to the seat or handlebars.

I've seen the license plate ones and having my helmet dangling just off the ground isn't all that appealing.

I have a Honda that has a nice one built into the back, keyed same as bike. But on my rocker, nada. So I went to the hardware store and they had a neat cable lock that was the size of a pack of cards. The cable self rolled itself backup when not in use. The cable is about 18 inches long and flexible. Gives you tons of options to lock up your helmet and a couple times I put it thru the sleeve of my jacket at the same time and locked them to my bike. The other end of the cable clicks back into the lock and is set by a 3 number code, easy to remember. I think it was 10 bucks and I'm still using it 5 years later. Does the job and easy to store. I don't leave my kevlar/carbon fiber helmet laying around unsecured...ever...
Ride safe.

I put my helmet over my mirror and use a small padlock to secure it to the clutch or throttle cable. You can also buy helmet locks that clamp around the uprights of your frame or handlebar

Get yourself one of these handgun cable locks...good sized loop so you can secure to a multitude of things on your bike. I have one in the saddlebag.

I know I get tired of lugging my helmet around and have wanted a helmet lock for a log time. Most that I've seen are the ones you have to attach to the bike some way and I really don't want to go that route. The locks, padlock or like the one above, look more appealing to me.

I use a portable cable lock. It has a 4 digit self-chosen security code and the cable itself is rubber coated and fully retractable. Cable length is appr. 4 ft. See pic.

I chose this so I could also pull the cable through the sleeve of my jacket and lock it to the bike together with the helmet.

I use the one by kuryakyn one that mounts to either a highway bar or the down tube... It's the best in my opinion.
