I always had a bike when I was younger, mostly metrics.
Then around age 30 I got married.
Raising a family, paying a mortgage, then college expenses, it all piled up.
A couple of years ago I found the mortgage was paid, the kids were out of college and I was retired.

When you are not sleeping at night and you go to the garage to look at it and think about starting it to be sure it still is alive. Your Wife and children will not be amused. More than likely you will be seeing more of the bike because you will be sleeping in the garage.
