Hey all, I have an 03 deuce and I don't post as much as I'd like, but spend alot of time researching my bike, parts, and fabrication and need some assistance.
I often struggle with functionality due to my setup which is a Frankenstein hot rod kit that I love, and have been able to do a soft mock up of a tour-pak and it doesn't look bad, and since I can't use saddle bags I use a large Harley bag, but I want to be able to throw my stuff in the trunk and my lunch on the rack.
Is there aftermarket struts for detachable racks that might fit on the deuce or someone who makes a rigid mounting rack for tour pak on a deuce?
my buddy has a duece and from what I can tell the rear fender is specific to the duece only. other softails share the same rear fender setup ie fatboy and deluxe. If your unable to find some thing with an internet search it probably doesnt exist. are you looking for a luggage rack or are you trying to mount a tourpack to your bike?
didnt mean to sound like if it doesnt exist then give up. if you cant find something then its time to fab it up yourself or find someone who can. its only money, you can get more! JK
I'm going to mount a king tour pak on the bike, I am going to have my mechanic fab me a bracket for the pak using the deuce aftermarket mounts for sissy bars from Drag Specialties, this way it leave me with a detachable type setup, lockable, and one of a kind. I am going to design it, and he will fab it, I appreciate the input though. I seem to have a rough go asking deuce questions here lol.
