Has anyone had any experiances with them?
The price is just a little too good and besides, plastic housings?
Not sure if you have ever tried to touch your headlight when its been on a while
But those suckers can get really hot sometimes.
Be kind of embarrassing to have it start 'wilting' in the middle of summer on a dark stretch of road.
PS, I was rereading the ebay ad and noticed that the headlight is only a 35W bulb.
I think a stock bulb is rated at around 55W.
Now there is one thing I like more than anything else, and that's a LOT of light.
Dropping from 55W to 35W doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
It may not even be legal in some states.

i know for certain as mine fell apart last night.
now... the mount is obviously aluminum... but the housing is very much plastic. the back of my daymaker gets hot enough to fry an egg on (literally... ive got a burn on my hand from grabbing it as it fell out last night). the plastic gets cooled by air from the outside, and stays just fine.
if you want to shoot this light down, the bulb may suck (but could pretty easily be replaced)

But it comes with a low wattage bulb.
Now you have to ask yourself is it because they are just being cheap?
Or is it that the plastic isn't able to handle higher wattage bulbs and the higher heat levels a 55W or more bulb would put out?
Personally, I'm not trusting enough to bet it can some dark night when the deer are wandering around dark stretches of road like they own them.
Because the first thing I would do is swap out the bulb for a brighter and no doubt hotter one.
Besides call me paranoid if you will, but headlight housings that cost that little make me more than a little suspicious.
Not saying I trust a plastic one that costs $200 or more any better, but I think that all too often you DO get what you pay for.
And a headlight is important, its not just an extra piece of decorative chrome you don't really need to make the bike operate safely.
