Default breakout blackline dash - NEED HELP!

anyone have the blackline dash mod? i am in dire need of help. i have no idea what is different, but the bolt on the tank is INCHES from lining up. i cant get it secured at all. if its not bolted down, the dash sticks up too far and the bottom of the gauge catches it. what a f'ing nightmare. i thought this was direct bolt?

any ideas? help?

for those that have done it: im assuming that it comes with the gasket, or do i reuse my old one?

Buy the part I listed or 24v listed in the thread (60900001) and you're good to go - the parts catalog is wrong as you've realized, you have Top Plate 60900003 installed on your Breakout, not 60900001 which is what you need. You don't need a new gasket either. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks

Man that's aggravating. I went in with 24v part list, but they told me I already had that part and could reuse it. I hadn't seen the thread that discovered the issue... so thought maybe it was an inconsistency issue from 13 to 14. Now I know.

Yep, 24v and I were at my house calling 3 different HD shops asking to see if they had both top plates in stock and if they did to snap a picture on their phone and text it to us before we realized the parts catalog was wrong.

Put mine on and the speedo just misses the dash by like a 16th of an inch or less. Should there be more room there or is that just the way it fits?

I think I had about 1/4th inch total but regardless it was tight.
