Default 2014 Breakout or Softail Slim?

hi guys! Just sold my Sportster custom. Been thinking what harley to replace it with. I narrowed it down to these two models only. Always liked Softail models. The breakout looks badass. But the wide tires on the back makes me think how hard this will be on twisties? But its not a decision maker. How about on the Slim. Im sure its gonna be a lighter feel coz of the skinnier tires. I guess if both these two models were parked beside each other, which one would look better? For me looks would be a major decision maker. Next would be handling. Im not looking for an all around bike, already have a naked bike (modified), scooter(stock), motard(slightly modified) & mini motard(heavily modified). Just looking for a cruiser which looks badass and has some power also which im sure both have.

Was down to the same choice myself in October. Bought the Breakout. Fit me better as a 6'1" guy and I loved the look. It is badass! Good luck!

oh wait you want something that looks badass, forget the test rides and buy the breakout. Definitely sets itself apart from all the other softails, and your not so common badass 2 n 1 pipe, tuner, air cleaner and enjoy. black is always appropriate and the fastest color.LOL

Breakout in anything but black!!
I like the Slim except for the rear tire. Which is what the slim is all about.

I think the slim is more classic bobber and the breakout is more hot rod chopper (pro street). The slim has the least amount of lean out of all the softail but the breakout has a decent amount of lean for the curves and the when I test rode the vrod special with the fat rear it felt really planted and agile in the curves so I don't think the fat rear should be a concern.

I tear up the tight turned mountains in my Breakout to where I scrape my heels so don't worry about turning.....it turns and leans just fine. I left an 89 Sportster straight to a Breakout......no regrets.

Go with what you like, both are great bikes.
