My foot only hits about the outer third of the rear brake pedal on my 2012 Deluxe..I changed the stock pipes out for a V&H Pro-Pipe and if i place my foot any closer to the bike on the floorboard, my boot hits the pipe.. Thats why I only hit about the outer third of the brake pedal........Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, do you have a solution?..I'd like to move the brake pedal away from the bike about 1 inch. Does anyone make a pedal designed for this, or even a wider brake pedal pad? Mine is about 4-3/4" wide. I'm desperate for a solution..I'm afraid my foot is going to slip off the brake pedal some day, and I will crash...
I thought about shimming the entire floorboard bracket out. But if I did that, the master cylinder wouldn't operate cause it would hit the front pipe.
Ideally, the best way is to have a more extreme offset in the lever part of the brake pedal assembly, or a wider pad that would extend out about 1 inch..
Not sure it would fit as I am no expert. But have you thought about using header wrap then put a chrome heatshield on top? This way even if your foot is resting on or near the pipe you wont get burned or melt your boot/shoe or what not.
Check EBay. About 2 years back I bought a extended brake pedal for my Fatboy, but I'm sure they have them for most Harley's. It extends about 2" longer, about 1" lower and about 3/4" further away from bike. It's chrome and has a grease fitting. Now, my foot covers most of the pedal and I don't have to crunch my knee to hit rear brake. I think the cost was about $60.
Harley makes an Extended Brake Lever, part number 41600008, and a Large Brake Pedal, part number 42478-95. Each are listed in the Harley Accessory Catalog. The combination of the two makes a world of difference.

41600008 is longer, but not further away from the bike
42478-95 is the same size pad as I have on my bike now
Thanks for the suggestion though. I thought I'd let ya know
