make sure the black airline is fully pushed into the elbow on the bottom of the shock remove and reinsert if you have to. also ensure elbow is not damaged use some leak detector on the elbow dish soap will work also. hope this helps.
When I first installed my shotgun shock I routed my air hose to the left side of the bike without paying much attention. I didn't realize it until I had the exact same issue that you're having. I looked underneath the bike and noticed the belt had rubbed a nice big hole in the hose. JD sent me another one for free even though I should have routed the hose to the right side of the bike. All is well now. Hopefully you get your issue figured out soon.
How much hose do you guys have running from the compressor to the shock? Instructions say cut to fit and don't give an indication of how long it should be. Mine's probably about 3"-4" and clears the belt completely. I made it this long so it wouldn't kink up. I figured that would be a bad thing too.
Call the number for shotgun JD will answer. I had a switch fail while in Daytona and he was going to next day it to my hotel. The dude goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service. Everything you read about this guy is true. He will help you troubleshoot over the phone and make it right.
Call JD, I had an issue with mine straight out of the box. He had me check a couple of things and then determined it was the shock, he sent one out that day without me sending mine back first. He is a good dude to talk to.
