Default my 2002 softail build

Hello everyone, I just wanted to share my winter project. I did all of the work myself, including the paint. My first time doing anything like this, so please dont be too harsh lol.

this is the starting point, my 2002 fxst


Tore down, getting ready for the face lift



new sheet metal primed and ready



paint products




Paint job complete, this is prior to any cut and polish



bike mostly put back together







Parts list so far, 16" KST mayhem bars, 21x3.5 front, 18x4.25 rear DNA wheels, Klockwerks level front fender, Hawg Halters 4 degree raked fl softail trees with 2 over tube extensions, Adjure headlight and matching spotlights and buckets, Barnett stainless cables, flush mount front axle.

thanks guys. I tell ya, the paint job was kind of intimidating, have never done it before, but it was pretty easy if you fight the urge to go fast and read the tech sheets a few dozen times prior to spraying.

Next winter the drive line gets an upgrade. plan on doing an open primary, upgrade to the gear drive cam system, new heads, big bore kit and a 6 speed gear set
